Our School

Welcome to Qwam Qwum Stuwixwulh

Qwam Qwum Stuwixwulh translate into English as Strong Children. We are a vibrant school community of approximately 135 students and 26 dedicated staff members. Co-governed by the Snuneymuxw First Nation and School District 68 (SD68), QQS embodies a partnership built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to student success.

At QQS, we are proudly student-centered, focusing on the unique strengths each learner brings to our school. With a foundation rooted in family, support, and community, we strive to create an inclusive, welcoming environment where every child feels empowered to grow and thrive.

A Vision of Hope and a Legacy of Pride

QQS represents the hopes and dreams of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. This proud and resilient community has achieved the remarkable goal of establishing a state-of-the-art learning facility on their traditional territory. This school is not just a building; it is a beacon for future generations, fostering education and cultural connection. School District 68 is honored to be a partner in this meaningful endeavor.

Diverse Learners, Shared Growth

Our students come from diverse Aboriginal ancestries, enriching our school with a variety of cultures and traditions. This year, we’ve welcomed even more students, growing from 112 to 135 learners. Seeing our classrooms filled with eager faces –both new and familiar –reflects the strength and unity of our growing school community.
